A rare original press photograph of Hermann Goering at the Richtofen Memorial in Doleritz, unveiled in April 1938. Goering is pictured with Richtofen's widow. The memorial was erected to commemorate German WW1 fighter ace Baron von Richtofen - the "Red Baron" who famously flew a red Fokker Triplane. An M17 transitional helmet with Deutsche Red Cross (DRK) double decals. Helmet shell has an overall brown patina inside and out. It has the large peak indicative of Austrian manufacture.
