M31 Fire Police Helmet - Large

A very large M31 fire police helmet. Satin black helmet in lightweight steel. Single salt shaker vent each side. No size stamp but appears to be a 70 or 71. M27 nine-tongued liner. Black leather chinstrap. There are SS runes stamped into the inner shell skirt, but this is probably a red herring, possibly stamped by an SS-admiring wearer or a post-war addition.  read more

A rare German Forestry hanger, dating from the 1930s. Manufactured by Horster. Staghorn grips decorated with three brass acorns, and gilt metalwork which has some age wear.
