M17 WW1 Helmet with Austrian Artwork

A WW1 Austro-Hungarian M17 steel helmet painted with patriotic artwork. Shell is green painted inside and out, with the Austro-Hungarian coat of arms elaborately painted on the front. 1914 and 1918 is painted on each side. Metal liner rim with leather and horsehair liner pads. No size mark but probably a 58. Black and tan leather chinstrap. A rare helmet.  read more
