War Merit Cross 1st Class - Cased

A cased example of the 1939 War Merit Cross 1st Class. White metal cross has some silvering worn off but is in generally good condition. Plain-backed with LDO manufacturers stamp L/18 for BH Mayer of Pforzheim. Bottle-shaped pin. Leather, card and silk case is in fairly poor condition, with image of the medal block-printed on the outer lid.
